Do I need a Gemini API key to use the extension?
- Yes, you need a Google Gemini API key for AI functionality
- Visit Google AI Studio to create a free API key
- Sign in with your Google account
- Click 'Create API Key' and copy the generated key
- Paste it in extension settings (Extension icon → Settings → API Keys)
- Free tier includes: 15 requests/minute, 1M tokens/minute, 1,500 requests/day
Is the extension free to use?
- The extension itself is completely free
- You only pay for Google Gemini API usage
- Gemini API has a generous free tier
- Most users stay within free limits for typical Fiverr usage
Setup & Configuration
How do I set up Google authentication?
- Google authentication is optional but recommended for cross-browser sync
- Click extension icon → Settings
- Click 'Authenticate with Google'
- Sign in with your Google account
- Grant necessary permissions
- Your settings and data will now sync across browsers
How do I add multiple API keys?
- Multiple API keys provide redundancy and load distribution
- Go to Settings → API Keys → 'Add Key'
- Enter key name and API key
- Set priority (Normal/High/Low)
- Enable key rotation in settings
- Extension automatically rotates between healthy keys
What's the difference between Fiverr-only mode and multi-site mode?
- Fiverr-only mode (Recommended): Extension only works on fiverr.com
- Multi-site mode: Extension works on any website you enable
- Fiverr-only mode is more secure and uses fewer resources
- Change in Settings → Site Restrictions
Using the Extension
How do I select text and get AI responses?
- Select text on any Fiverr page (conversations, project descriptions, etc.)
- Floating icon appears near your selection
- Click the icon to open the prompt menu
- Choose a prompt (Summary, Follow-up, Proposal, etc.) or create custom
- Get AI response in the popup window
- Use response with Copy, Edit, or Insert buttons
What are variables and how do I use them?
- {conversation}: Selected text from the webpage
- {reply}: Text you type in the floating menu
- {username}: Client's name (auto-extracted from Fiverr)
- {{bio}}: Your custom bio from knowledge base
- {{services}}: Your services list from knowledge base
- {{file:filename}}: Reference specific knowledge base files
How do I continue a conversation with streaming chat?
- After getting an AI response, click 'Continue Chat'
- The popup closes and streaming chat opens
- Continue the conversation with real-time responses
- Chat maintains full context from previous exchanges
- Use drag handles to move and resize the chat window
Troubleshooting
Extension not working on Fiverr pages
Try these solutions:
- Refresh the Fiverr page after installing the extension
- Check if extension is enabled in Chrome extensions page
- Verify you have a valid API key configured
- Try disabling other extensions that might conflict
- Clear browser cache and cookies for Fiverr
Floating icon not appearing when selecting text
